Dead Man's Hole, an open air mortuary apparently built to drag out the many corpses which had 'accidentally' fallen into the River Thames and would wash up on this ghastly spot. As we wander around it I'll be telling you about some of the tortured souls who were unjustly executed within and still haunt the old fortress including Anne Boleyn, the Princes in the Tower, Henry VI and Lady Jane Grey amongst others. Many Londoners would take this as entertainment and watch the executions. This was one of London's most notorious execution sites where dozens of people were publicly put to death to set an example for the rest of the population.
